JOB DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY
This position functions as the RN Manager for First Coast Heart and Vascular Cath Lab is responsible for the supervision of Administrative and Clinical Services for the Cardiac Cath Lab, and Pre and Post Area. Working in a dyad relationship with physician leadership, this position will plan, manage, evaluate, and provide for the delivery of the patient care. Under the general direction of the Medical Director and /or Executive Director, the RN Cath Lab Manager will provide clinical, administrative, clerical, and operational oversight to the outpatient cardiovascular catheterization lab to ensure operations run as efficiently as possible.

ATTRIBUTES
- Current and valid RN Florida License or Recognized Compact Licensure
- BLS and ALS/ACLS certifications required
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred
- 3-5 years of Cardiac Cath Lab Experience and Peripheral Interventions REQUIRED
- 3 years of management experience REQUIRED
- Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with all providers, staff, and management
The responsibilities of the RN Manager of Outpatient Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab includes (but not limited to):
- Planning, directing and administration of the Cardiac Cath Lab
- Pre/Post Holding Unit and staff to assure quality service daily
- Education, competencies, quality service for all nursing and technology functions within the cardiology service program
- Staff performance and the accomplishment of department responsibilities and goals in accord with corporate, local clinic, department, and safe policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory/accreditation requirements
- Providing high-quality patient care to and acting as liaison with patients and their representatives
- Promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management
- Efficient operations of the department, and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs
- Demonstrating knowledge of nursing care policies, procedures, techniques, equipment utilized, and application regulation related to assigned services Furthermore, the Manager will assist the administrator in Quality (QA) and Performance Improvement (PI) projects.
- Monday – Friday; 8 am – 5 pm (additional hours as needed)
