Responsibilities
Donor Relations & Portfolio Management:
- Manage and nurture relationships with a portfolio of individual donors, corporate sponsors, and key partners, ensuring long-term engagement and support.
- Provide exceptional stewardship to current and potential donors, keeping them informed about the impact of their contributions and fostering deeper connections.
- Lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies to secure new contributions and increase revenue.
- Work closely with the Head of the Foundation to plan and execute major fundraising campaigns, with a focus on donor acquisition and retention.
- Oversee and expand our recurring donor program to increase long-term sustainability.
- Lead the planning and logistics of fundraising events and galas, ensuring smooth execution and maximizing donor participation and contributions.
- Engage with donors, sponsors, and guests at events to strengthen relationships and secure future commitments.
- Identify, research, and apply for grants aligned with the foundation’s mission and goals.
- Secure sponsorships for events, working directly with corporate partners to negotiate and deliver mutually beneficial agreements.
- Develop and implement strategies for donor recognition, ensuring donors are acknowledged and feel valued for their contributions.
- Prepare communication materials, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and regular updates, to maintain engagement and inspire continued support.
- Utilize donor research tools like iWave, TeamRaiser, OneCause, and BidPal to track and analyze donor data, manage campaigns, and optimize engagement strategies (with the support of the marketing team).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of managing multi million dollar donor portfolios, securing sponsorships, and running successful fundraising campaigns.
- Event Planning: Extensive experience planning and executing fundraising events and galas, with a strong ability to engage donors and sponsors.
- Fundraising Tools & Technology: Experience using donor management systems (e.g., iWave, OneCause, TeamRaiser, BidPal) for donor research, campaign management, and engagement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Passion for Youth Empowerment: A strong commitment to the foundation’s mission to empower at-risk youth through mentorship, financial literacy, and education.
