Job Summary : Assume primary responsibility for clinical services provided by the Company. Direct, coordinate and supervise all clinical functions. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations as they apply to the provision of patients. Assure compliance with Company Policy and Procedure. Monitor job performance and completion of evaluations and counseling of clinical staff. Complete yearly State Protocols to the Medical Director for approval.
Qualifications / Educational Requirements :
- Be a licensed critical care paramedic for at least two years, Registered Nurse, or Business Degree
- Valid Iowa Class D3 Licensure.
- Paramedic certification with Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement in the State of Iowa for at least 2 years, Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Iowa; Respiratory Therapy Licensed in the State of Iowa
- AHA HCP CPR and ACLS required.
- AHA PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider and PHTLS preferred.
- Knowledge of EMS Standards of Practice required.
- Significant experience writing patient care reports required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Speak, read, write and comprehend English.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- National Registry Certification Paramedic preferred if Paramedic
- Emergency Vehicle Driving Safety Course preferred.
- Minimum of two years of management / supervisory experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to pediatric and adult populations in a transfer situation.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Excel and Word proficient
- Motivated and self-sufficient. Self-starter. Team player
- Demonstrate organizational and leadership skills.
- Instructor status in CPR, ACLS and PALS must be maintained or obtained within 6 months of hire.
