[1] Care Center - Dayton is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The [2] ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Program Duration/Commitment
- 6-month training program beginning June 2025
- 18-month commitment as an ER clinician following training
- Care Center - Dayton: 6421 Clyo Road, Centerville, OH 45459
- 5-day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week
- Rotate with other specialty services during the training program: Emergency, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Radiology
- Surgical training
- Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts
- Excellent post-training schedule: 3 day work week, no more than 3 shifts in a row, always 2 days off between working and a scheduled block of 6 consecutive days off per month
- Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
- Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
- Work alongside 16 talented Emergency Veterinarians
