Medical Office Assistant - Home Health Care Services: Monday - Thursday 10-3pm

Location: 12808 W Airport, Sugar Land Tx 77478
Pay: $11.50-12 per hour (increase in pay is evaluate every 90 days)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 10-3pm

All candidates must complete a 4-day orientation training before being officially hired. During this period, employees will be evaluated on attendance, work ethic, and collaboration skills. Failure to demonstrate reliability in these areas may result in not being hired. Successful completion of orientation is required for employment. Please note: Orientation is unpaid.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to support daily administrative tasks in a home health care setting. This role is highly encouraged for pre-med students looking to gain valuable experience in a medical environment. The Office Assistant will play a crucial role in managing patient-related administrative tasks, working closely with nurses, physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth daily operations. Experience with Kinnser software is a major plus.

Responsibilities:

• Organizing and maintaining patient files and medical records
• Calling patients to schedule and confirm home health visits
• Coordinating appointments with nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists
• Assisting with data entry and document management
• Handling phone calls and general office communication
• Providing administrative support to healthcare staff
• Ensuring an organized and efficient office environment

Requirements:

• Pre-med students are highly encouraged to apply. Letter of Recommendation will be written by the Administrator of Home Health if asked.
• Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Experience with Kinnser software is a major plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
