We are offering a 2-week volunteer opportunity for pre-health students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a home health care setting. After successfully demonstrating strong work ethic, professionalism, and reliability during the trial period, volunteers will be considered for a full-time, paid Medical Office Assistant position.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and maintaining patient files and medical records
- Calling patients to schedule and confirm home health visits
- Coordinating appointments with nurses, physical therapists (PTs), and occupational therapists (OTs)
- Assisting with data entry and document management
- Handling phone calls and general office communication
- Providing administrative support to healthcare staff
- Ensuring an organized and efficient office environment
Requirements:
- Pre-med students are highly encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Kinnser software is a plus but not required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for potential employment after the trial period
