Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to support daily administrative tasks in a home health care setting. This role is highly encouraged for pre-med students looking to gain valuable experience in a medical environment. The Office Assistant will play a crucial role in managing patient-related administrative tasks, working closely with nurses, physical therapists (PTs), occupational therapists (OTs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth daily operations. Experience with Kinnser software is a major plus.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and maintaining patient files and medical records
- Calling patients to schedule and confirm home health visits
- Coordinating appointments with nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists
- Assisting with data entry and document management
- Handling phone calls and general office communication
- Providing administrative support to healthcare staff
- Ensuring an organized and efficient office environment
Requirements:
- Pre-med students are highly encouraged to apply. Letter of Recommendation will be written by the Administrator of Home Health
- Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Experience with Kinnser software is a major plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
