Job Title: Charge Nurse LTC (RN or LPN Accepted)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse for our Long-Term Care facility. The Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring quality care is delivered to all residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate nursing staff, including delegating tasks and providing training and guidance
2. Monitor patient care and assess resident needs
3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
5. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
6. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
7. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
8. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare team members
9. Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN or LPN license
2. Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
3. Strong leadership and communication skills
4. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
5. Knowledge of nursing standards and regulations
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills
7. Compassionate and empathetic nature
8. Ability to work effectively in a team setting
9. BLS certification required
