Job Title: Director of Nursing
Job Summary:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within a healthcare facility. They will lead a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals, ensuring high quality patient care is provided at all times. The Director of Nursing will also be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures, as well as managing the department budget and staffing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee all nursing staff and ensure they are providing high quality care to patients
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
- Manage the department budget and staffing levels
- Work with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient outcomes and make changes to care plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree preferred
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
