Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team and assist in performing laboratory tests to help diagnose, prevent, monitor, and treat various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collect and analyze blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples
- Prepare specimens for examination and testing
- Conduct laboratory tests and procedures, including microscopy, chemical analysis, and microbiology
- Record and analyze data, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Follow safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Communicate test results to healthcare providers and patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
