Position Overview :
As a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician at Care First, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch medical care and customer service. In this dynamic environment, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals who are dedicated to excellence and supportive of your growth and success.
Responsibilities :
Provide outstanding customer service and client education
Manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with client check-in and check-out
Prepare examination rooms and assist with obtaining patient history and vitals
Handle and process lab samples efficiently and accurately
Safely restrain, lift, and comfort animals during procedures and examinations
Perform technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographs, and laser therapy
Assist with surgical preparation and post-operative recovery procedures
Qualifications :
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptable and willing to learn new skills and procedures
Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred but not required

Pay :
16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Job Type :
Full-Time (35-40 hours a week)
Schedule : 10-hour shifts
Weekend availability required
Hours of shifts can be within the hours of 7 : 00am – 7 : 30pm M-F, 7 : 30am – 5 : 30pm Saturday, and 8am-5 : 30pm on Sundays.
