What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA/Caregiver position at Care For All in Home LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Provide first aid care as needed and seek medical attention when necessary.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Support individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in their daily routines.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Respect and uphold resident rights, ensuring privacy, dignity, and independence.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with individuals receiving care, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide emotional support to individuals in need.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
