Position Summary: Applicants must reside in the state and hold a Bachelor’s degree.
The Residential Crisis Manager is responsible for rehabilitation, support, treatment, and crisis intervention. This role also involves providing substance abuse services, education, support, and consultation to residents and families. The manager facilitates the admission and discharge process in collaboration with the Registered Nurse, Case Manager, and/or Crisis Therapist.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health sciences or a related field with at least 12 credit hours in behavioral health sciences.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of specialized work experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (renew as needed), CPR, First Aid, CPI, physical exam (upon hire and annually), TB clearance (2-step upon hire and annually), criminal background check (upon hire and annually).
Preferred Experience: Working with adults with severe mental illness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be part of the residential treatment team for up to 16 residents.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise treatment goals and plans with the residential team, case management team, and residents.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of psychiatric history, mental status, diagnosis, physical/dental health, substance use, education/employment, social development, daily living activities, and family relationships.
- Liaise with community agencies, primary case managers, and families to coordinate treatment and recovery.
- Document client progress and collaborate with staff and community providers.
- Participate in and facilitate staff meetings and recovery planning meetings.
- Provide treatment, substance abuse services, nutritional education, housing placement, money management skills, and other interventions as per the recovery plan.
- Manage client admissions and discharges.
- Continuously assess and respond to treatment needs.
- Provide support, advocacy, and coordination for social, vocational, and daily living needs.
- Assist with utilization review and authorization processes.
- Maintain residence cleanliness and assist with meal preparation.
