School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- $35-$45/hour
Position Summary:
The position of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) involves assisting in treatment and implementing programs under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. COTAs help create a balance between building their careers and enjoying flexibility in their lives. Education/License/Certification:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- NBCOT Certification for Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy
Experience/Requirements:
- Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
- Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
- Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
- Responsive to requests.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
