REQUIREMENTS for Clinical Supervisor - Mobile Crisis :
Education & Certification
- Degree: Master’s in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or related field.
- Professional Certification: LCSW or LMFT certification required.
- BBS Registration: Required.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience, including:
- 2 years post-licensure in a mental health setting, OR
- 1 year post-licensure plus 1 year supervising/directing clinical staff, OR
- 1 year post-licensure plus 1 year in staff supervision, administration, and personnel management in a related human services field.
Driving Requirements
- Valid Class C driver’s license.
Specialized Knowledge
- Experience with Smart Care or other EHR systems.
- Proficient in computer skills and knowledge of outcome measures.
- Expertise in diverse psychological interventions and theories.
- Competence in budget adherence and management.
Essential Functions:
The Clinical Supervisor oversees the operations and staff of the South Tulare County Mobile Unit and South One Stop Clinics, ensuring compliance with policies, providing clinical supervision, and maintaining quality standards. This role includes direct mental health services, crisis assistance, team leadership, and representing the organization with external stakeholders.
Supervision & Management
- Supervise clinical staff and overall clinic operations.
- Manage scheduling, case assignments, and on-call rotations.
- Provide clinical guidance and consultation to team members.
- Assist in policy and procedure development and implementation.
- Support preparation for chart audits and compliance.
Clinical Services
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapy.
- Conduct intake assessments for mental health services.
- Provide interventions aligned with ethical and professional standards.
- Adapt services to client needs, including cultural, medical, and economic factors.
- Guide CPS/CWS reporting processes.
Training & Community Engagement
- Develop and lead training on clinical practices, compliance, and cultural competency.
- Represent the organization in community outreach and presentations.
Risk Management
- Handle mental health crises involving high-risk individuals and coordinate with emergency personnel.
- Ensure the safety and de-escalation of critical situations.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain service logs, statistics, and documentation in compliance with standards.
- Prepare progress reports and department statistics as required.
- Step in for the Clinical/Program Manager as needed.
Other Responsibilities
- Advocate for client mental health and engage in systemic support efforts.
- Perform duties necessary to ensure program success.
This role requires balancing clinical and administrative expertise, ensuring quality care for diverse populations, and maintaining compliance with organizational and county standards.
