Hospice Caregiver or CNA -Bonus Eligible

Job Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience: 1 year experience in patient care in a home health, long term care, hospice and/or acute care setting.

• Must be able to read, write, verbally report important information about patients.

• Current BLS certification

• Possess valid state driver’s license and reliable automobile and be willing to operate personal car necessitated by nature of job.

• Proof of current automobile insurance with minimum state financial responsibility limits

• Current health certificate/physical examination and TB testing.

•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

• Ability to operate a desktop and laptop computer.

• Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.

•  Ability to climb stairs and to provide services in a patient’s home environment.

• Ability to lift, pull, push, and manipulate equipment and patients which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Provide patients with personal care directed by the RN and plan of care.

• Assist patients in bathing, care of mouth, skin, and hair, and assist patients in and out of bed and with ambulation.

• Perform turns of patients in bed and assist in positioning patients for comfort as well as changing bed linens as needed.

• Report changes in patient's condition and needs.

• Prioritize patient comfort, quality of life and safety.

• Maintain up to date patient records and chart in a timely manner according to policy.

Schedule: Usual hours fall within the 7:45-5, Monday through Friday work week.

* Employee will be eligible for a $1000 bonus following the first of the month of their one-year anniversary. Additionally, employee must be considered in good standing with the organization and have a favorable employment record. 

*Preferred applicant will be asked to pass a background check and drug screen following a job offer.

**New employees are required to complete tuberculosis screening and provide proof of hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
