Job Duties
Lead and attend end user meetings to determine application needs, requirements definition and documentation through the system life cycle.
Confirm backend application settings, data management and associated process documentation are complete based on organizational needs.
Research new versions of software, communicate new features to users; train users and document related process changes based on user feedback.
Troubleshoot with end-users and developers.
Provide application support.
Work with other IS and hospital departments to design applications; required an understanding of organization workflows.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and create necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps.
Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.
Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements.
Other Duties
Participate and present in multidisciplinary task forces, committees, and projects.
Continue professional development through reading, participation in seminars and optional training.
Keep informed on direction and happenings in the healthcare industry and within NBMC.
Performs other related duties as required.
Job Setting/Physical Demands
IT Office area.
Off-hours coverage when necessary.
Travel to offsite locations may be required.
Position Qualifications
3 years of experience maintaining applications preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare industry.
Familiarity with software applications.
Familiarity with implementing and maintaining applications.
Good organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in English.
Microsoft Office skills.
Basic computer skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; or equivalent technical training course resulting in a computer science degree plus three years of experience in computer programming preferred.
