Title: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist
Care Station Medical Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare organization, you will work closely with patients to assess their nutritional needs, develop personalized nutrition plans, and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their health goals.
This is a full-time position working 5 shifts per week, 4 shifts per week This position would be a rotating schedule working in the Linden, Springfield, and West Orange offices. The is as follows:
- Monday Springfield 8am-4pm
- Tuesday West Orange 8am-4pm
- Wednesday Springfield 9am- 6pm
- Thursday West Orange 8am-4pm
- Friday
- Saturday Every other Sat 9am-2pm alternating SPR/ WOR
- Sunday Every other Sun 9am- 2pm in Linden office
A day in the life of a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with Care Station Medical Group includes:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for clients, considering their medical history, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop customized nutrition plans tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of clients, incorporating evidence-based guidelines and recommendations.
- Educate clients on healthy eating habits, portion control, and meal planning strategies to promote optimal health and wellness.
- Monitor clients’ progress and make adjustments to nutrition plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, physician assistants and nurses, to provide integrated care and support for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Stay up to date on the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and dietetics and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a dietitian/nutritionist, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate patients.
- Proficiency in conducting nutrition assessments, interpreting lab values, and developing evidence-based nutrition interventions.
- Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy for common health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
