We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Naturopathic Physician (ND) to join our dynamic primary care team. In this patient-facing role, you will provide comprehensive naturopathic care and collaborate closely with our allopathic medical providers to offer a holistic approach to patient wellness. You will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in evidence-based naturopathic modalities to diagnose, treat, and educate patients seeking a naturopathic perspective within a supportive and integrated environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide 20 hours per week of direct patient care, offering naturopathic primary care and consultations.
- Collaborate with our staff and operations team to establish an efficient patient scheduling system.
- Successfully complete CareATC provider privileging to define your approved scope of practice.
- For candidates in Arizona, secure acupuncture privileges supported by accredited education and certification recognized by the State of Arizona.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in our CareATC electronic medical record system.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with the allopathic physician(s) within the clinic.
- Actively participate with area leadership in reviewing clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and client feedback to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Dedicate yourself to ongoing professional development by maintaining continuing education requirements and keeping your licensure and certifications current.
- Partner with area leadership to develop and deliver educational outreach initiatives to our client employee population, promoting the principles of naturopathic medicine.
- Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) degree from a naturopathic medical school accredited and approved by the Naturopathic Physicians Medical Board in the state where this position will be based.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience in a clinical practice setting.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice naturopathic medicine from the Naturopathic Physicians Medical Board applicable to the state of employment.
- Comprehensive evidence-based knowledge in the application of naturopathic diagnostic skills, nutritional and lifestyle modification, botanical and complementary medicine, physical manipulation, homeopathy, and pharmaceutical prescribing (within the scope of your naturopathic education and state regulations).
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with allopathic medical providers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively explain the fundamentals of naturopathy to a diverse audience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift, pull, push, and manipulate medical equipment and assist patients as needed, requiring adequate strength, gross motor, and fine motor coordination. Ability to administer prescribed treatments effectively. Competent in performing CPR. Ability to comfortably sit and/or stand for extended periods during patient consultations and administrative tasks. Proficient in operating standard office computer equipment.
