Job Description: As a Personal Caregiver / Homemaker, you will assist clients with daily living activities and provide essential support within their homes or residential facilities. You will promote independence, safety, and comfort, while performing both caregiving and homemaking tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, etc.)
- Help with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including:
- Cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, etc.)
- Laundry (washing, folding, and ironing clothes)
- Organizing and tidying up living spaces
- Changing bed linens
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or run errands
- Monitor clients' health and report any significant changes to family members or supervisors
- Adhere to the client’s care plan and document daily activities
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving and/or homemaking experience preferred, but not required
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or relevant certification is a plus
- Ability to handle physical tasks (lifting, moving clients)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a caring attitude
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
