The Role of Referral Specialist
As a Referral Specialist, you will work closely with the team of Clinical Trial Navigators, trial sites and sponsors to help facilitate a smooth referral process. While you won’t be speaking to patients directly, you will play an integral part in their clinical trial search.
Your responsibilities include:
- Referral follow up:
o Communicate with trial sites via phone and email regarding referrals
o Ensure study teams are updating the referral portal correctly
o Provide process support as needed
- Patient escalations and requests:
o Reach out to trial sites and sponsors when a patient reports an issue reaching a trial site
o Alert trial site clients when a new patient consult is requested
- Client communications:
o Send daily communication to sponsors regarding referrals
o Escalate referral issues to the client as needed (unresponsive study team, incorrect contact information, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
What the Role Requires
A college degree (BA or higher) is required.
2 years relevant experience required.

Physical and Mental Requirements of the job include repetitive motion, communicating, copying, and analyzing.
Appropriate prior experience includes (but is not limited to): call center, medical office staff, clinical research or study operations.
Position is hybrid. MUST RESIDE IN SAN ANTONIO, TX. Manager is locally based.
