Senior Platform Engineer
Location : Salt Lake City (Lehi) - Hybrid

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Technology team as a Senior Platform Engineer . The candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing the core platforms and tools that empower our development teams to deliver world-class experiences.
What You'll Be Working On :
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient platform infrastructure using cloud-native technologies.
- Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and ensure rapid, reliable deployments.
- Implement and optimize container orchestration systems, such as Kubernetes, to support microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance developer productivity through tooling, automation, and platform enhancements.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure with a focus on cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Build and support observability tools, including OpenTelemetry and Splunk, to ensure the platform is highly monitored and traceable.
- Design and implement event-driven systems leveraging technologies like Kafka and AWS EventBridge.
- Work on infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or similar tools.
- Support and improve database solutions (e.g., DynamoDB, PostgreSQL) to meet the needs of high-scale consumer applications.
- Foster best practices for security, scalability, and performance in platform development.

Salary Range : 145,000 to 170,000
The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives.
