Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in the comfort of patients' homes.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patients' safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, upholding the highest standards of patient care.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel, ensuring prompt attention to patients' needs.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, providing a sense of security and trust.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
