What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Home Health Aide position at CareConnect?
We are seeking Certified Home Health Aides to provide exceptional care to clients in various locations throughout Orangeburg County, South Carolina.
Duties:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care is preferred.
- Provide personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- A current certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of South Carolina.
- Reliable transportation.
- A minimum commitment of 12 hours per week and every other weekend.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Fluent English language skills.
- An understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- The ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalent.
- Adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
- A minimum age of 18 years.
