At A Village Home Care Agency, we are seeking certified home health aides to join our team in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support and care to our clients, enabling them to stay safe and healthy in their own homes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- We are looking for candidates with previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care.
- You will be responsible for providing personal care to patients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications
- You must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of SC.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Able to work a minimum of 12 hours/week and every other weekend.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Fluent in English (able to speak and understand).
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
