About the Role
At A Village Home Care Agency, we are seeking Certified Home Health Aides to provide exceptional care to our clients in various locations across Orangeburg County, South Carolina.
As a certified home health aide with our agency, you will be at the heart of your client's care, providing personalized support and services that enable them to stay safe and healthy in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while ensuring their dignity and comfort.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques to maintain patient safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel, ensuring timely intervention and quality care.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, promoting mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state of South Carolina.
- Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at patient assignments.
- Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week and every other weekend, maintaining a flexible schedule.
- Eligibility to work in the United States, with valid documentation.
- Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality, upholding strict standards of professionalism.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed, supporting patients' overall well-being.
- Satisfactory completion of a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency, demonstrating competence in essential skills.
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and arithmetic skills, ensuring effective communication and record-keeping.
- Age 18 or older, meeting basic eligibility requirements.
