We are seeking certified home health aides to provide exceptional care in various locations throughout Worcester County, MA.
Job Summary: As a certified home health aide with Loyal Home Care Services, you will provide personalized care to patients in their homes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care tasks as needed.
- Nutrition and Hydration: Plan and prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding if necessary, and ensure adequate hydration.
- Vital Signs and Monitoring: Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, as ordered by the patient's physician.
- Mobility and Exercise: Assist patients with ambulation and exercise according to their plan of care, promoting mobility and flexibility.
- Routine Care: Perform range of motion exercises and other simple procedures as an extension of therapy services, as ordered.
- Medication Assistance: Assist patients with self-administration of medication, ensuring accurate dosing and timing.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Reporting and Documentation: Document patient progress, report significant changes to the assigned nurse, and adhere to organizational documentation standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Certification: Be a certified home health aide (HHA) in the state of MA.
- Transportation: Own reliable transportation to travel to patient homes.
- CPR/BLS Certification: Maintain up-to-date CPR/BLS certification.
- Eligibility: Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Confidentiality: Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Cooking and Housekeeping: Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Education: Satisfactory completion of a MA Health Department-approved HHA training program or equivalent.
- Age: Be at least 18 years old.
