Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional care to patients, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Support patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A certified PCA or HHA certification.
- An understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- The ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of a New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
- Demonstrated literacy and arithmetic skills.
- To be at least 18 years old.
