About the Role: As a Certified Home Health Aide with Gurwin Health Care Agency, you will be providing exceptional care to our clients in their homes. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to patients
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety and well-being
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to medical personnel
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in the state of NY
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work a minimum of 35 hours/week and every other weekend
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Fluent in English (able to speak and understand)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and importance of patient confidentiality
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
