We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide exceptional care to our clients in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. As a certified home health aide with our agency, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalized support that enables our clients to stay safe and comfortable in their own homes.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities, seniors, or patients requiring home care with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide mobility assistance and ensure the safety and well-being of patients during transfers.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and monitor vital signs.
- Promote emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- You must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of South Carolina.
- Reliable transportation is essential for this position.
- A minimum of 12 hours/week and every other weekend commitment is required.
- Eligibility to work in the United States is necessary.
- Fluency in English (speaking and understanding) is mandatory.
- An understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality is crucial.
- Able to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
