Position Description
The Director of Operations is responsible for the continuous, effective operations for three lines of business: ACO, Post-Acute and Palliative Care. Markets covered include operations in California as well as other states targeted for business growth. Collaborates with clinical leadership as well as managers and staff to improve quality of care, strengthen financial performance, develop and implement new programs and services. This position works closely financial staff to ensure billing and revenue collection is optimized. Ensures that policies, procedures and processes are in place to manage and monitor the business. Develops operational key metrics that will be reviewed and monitored on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Works with analytics to develop standard and ad hoc operational and financial reports. In conjunction with clinical leadership develops and implements business plans and programs. Leads by example. Manages staff to promote high value performance. Develops business plans and operational processes that can be scaled to new markets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operational planning and budgeting
  • Ensures that business operations policies and procedures are clearly defined and followed.
  • In collaboration with leadership participates in strategic planning, program development.
  • Works with data analytics to develop monthly, standard reporting package for all lines of business
  • Monitor business operations to ensure financial targets are met
  • Monitors staffing and develops plans to optimize staffing while ensuring quality
  • Implements contracts, monitors and ensures compliance
  • Develops plans to successfully scale DCE program in new markets.
  • Manages staff and operational activities designed to support DCE growth and financial stability
  • Develops staffing plans and assists with recruiting
  • Ensures compliance with budgetary requirements.
  • Builds team, provides mentoring and training
  • Work collaboratively across all departments to develop and foster synergist communication, positive relationships and work processes that serve as a strong example of teamwork
  • Oversee clinician data and reporting for scheduling, visits, EMR documentation, etc.
  • Regularly participates and provides recommendations in management/team meetings
  • Attends meetings and provides follow up as requested
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health or other related field is required; master’s degree in health, nursing, business, public administration or related field is preferred.
  • Experience in managing and motivating effective work teams
  • Experience in collaborating closely with clinical leadership staff
  • Formal lean training a plus
  • Project management skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, highly collaborative,
  • Very skilled in Microsoft 365 (Microsoft word, excel, power point, Teams meetings,)
  • Experience in business software such as CRM, care management, workflow
  • Experience in development and management of metrics
  • Well versed in navigating and documenting in electronic medical records

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $130,000-$185,000 per year; individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
