The Director of Operations is a key member of the leadership team responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Center. This individual ensures that the facility operates efficiently, complies with all regulatory requirements, and delivers high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of all departments including clinical services, admissions, facilities, HR, IT, and billing to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to maintain and improve service delivery models.
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations including those set by CARF, The Joint Commission, and other accrediting bodies.
Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and enhance client outcomes.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning in partnership with the finance team.
Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department heads and operational staff.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and oversee contracts, procurement, and facility management.
Partner with the Executive Director to establish strategic goals and drive key performance indicators (KPIs).
Serve as a liaison to stakeholders including clients, families, government agencies, and community partners.
Minimum of 3 5 years of operational management experience, preferably in behavioral health, addiction treatment, or healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of substance use disorder treatment models, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-compliance, client-centered environment.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical workflow optimization.
Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance billing processes.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology.
Crisis management and incident response training.
