Job Summary
Career Academy has been educating Certified Nursing Assistants for 20 years and we are seeking a new Program Coordinator! The Nursing Program Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a healthcare setting. This position involves supervising nursing instructors, maintaining a high level of education excellence, and ensuring compliance with established standards and protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, particularly in geriatrics, and demonstrate effective leadership abilities.
Requirements
- Must have an RN
- Must have experience educating CNAs in a nursing home or rehab setting
- Must have managerial experience
Duties
- Supervise LPN instructors to maintain high levels of educational excellence
- Liaise with external non-profit and regulatory agencies
- Schedule instructors pursuant to estimated student/instructor ratio
- Monitor state testing results or previous classes to ensure continued focus on subject matter issues within the curriculum
- Provide educational support to struggling students
- Collaborate with instructors to innovate educational standards and best practices
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records
Preferred
- CPR/BLS instructor certification
- Proven experience in supervising nursing staff within a clinical setting.
- Experience in drafting nursing schedules
