POSITION DESCRIPTION:

·         Train Braze Candidates to Trane Grand Rapids & TT BOS requirements

·         Create, Maintain Certifications and Training Records

·         Hold Braze Operators in training accountable to safety and working hours

·         Re-certify Braze Operators yearly

·         Maintain sufficient levels of lab supplies and practice/test pipe

·         Continuously improve braze training process, documentation and equipment per Braze Excellence process to achieve and maintain 8 maturity level

-          Braze Excellence A3: Create, Update and report monthly to corporate NoE Team, Pueblo Staff, MDI, and Manufacturing/Quality Engineering with quality engineer support.

-          Certification: Maintain 100% certified Braze Operators

-          Braze Excellence Kiosks: Create, Update, Audit and hold production management accountable for braze audits, leak data collection and BPS requirements

·         Maintain Production Area Braze Equipment, change hoses, adjust gas flows and verify N2 oxygen levels meet requirements

·         Stay current on operations processes as it pertains to braze process

·         Problem solving issues on the line impacting proper braze process

·         Perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

-          Must be a certified Brazer (AME WI 2002 - 03) in all the braze qualifications for the plant.

-          3 to 5 years of production brazing experience.

-          Able to demonstrate & train Trane Braze practices to Braze Candidates.

-          Able to teach new Braze Candidates how to safely use braze torches, sanders, band saw and required PPE.

-          Demonstration of strong communication and presentation skills.

-          Show ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

-          Relevant 2-year technical degree preferred; however, relevant experience may be substituted for educational preference a plus.

-          HVAC systems experience and understanding, or EPA 208 trained a plus

-          Demonstrated initiative to seek work area improvement/personal development opportunities when not training.

-          Must be willing to work all shifts and flex to satisfy customer demand. Overtime may be required.

-          Trane Core employees with no active discipline are eligible to apply.

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
