TITLE: Teacher, Work-Based Learning
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month
REPORTS TO: Career & Tech Building Principal
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Provide juniors and seniors with classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills to prepare students for college and career readiness.
- Experience working with business partners, securing student placement, follow-up, supervision, and supporting student learning and data collection
- Preparing students for work, interviews, evaluations, and necessary professional skills
- Strong organizational and computer skills, Excel preferred
- Coordinate employer events, internship placements, and paperwork; must be available for part-time summer work (additional assignment)
- Assist in the management of the Advisory Committee and Work-Based Learning Partners
- Ability to prepare and present to a wide variety of audiences
- Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
- Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
- Keep current with changes and developments in various industries represented by Sullivan BOCES CTE
- Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years CTE teaching experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certified CTE Teacher, Coordinator of Work-Based Learning Programs for Career Awareness Extension 7-12
Salary : $54,357 - $73,410
