Job Overview
As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of events such as hosting job fairs, ensuring they run smoothly and meet sponsors' expectations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties:
- Plan and organize events from start to finish, including career fairs, weddings, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and social gatherings
- Coordinate with vendors, such as caterers, florists, and venues, to ensure all event details are in place
- Create event timelines and schedules to ensure everything runs on time
- Manage event budgets and ensure all expenses stay within the allocated budget
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Oversee guest services during events to ensure a positive experience for attendees
Skills:
- Proficiency in event marketing and promotion strategies
- Experience in banquet or hospitality management
- Ability to negotiate contracts with vendors, sponsors, and suppliers
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and vendors effectively
- Strong budgeting skills to manage event finances efficiently
- Exceptional organizational abilities to coordinate multiple aspects of an event seamlessly
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies for charity events or non-profit organizations
