Our client is seeking an experienced and detail oriented CMM Programmer to join their manufacturing team in the Jamestown, NY area!

The CMM Programmer will contribute to the overall quality control processes of the company's aerospace and defense components.
Responsibilities of the CMM Programmer:
- Develop and implement CMM programs using advanced software to inspect complex aerospace and defense components.
- Perform precise and detailed measurements using CMM equipment to verify the conformance of machined parts to engineering specifications.
- Interpret and analyze engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to develop accurate CMM programs.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that products meet stringent quality standards and customer requirements.
- Plan and execute inspection routines, including fixture design and setup, to facilitate efficient and accurate inspections.
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed reports, identifying any non-conformities and collaborating with engineering and production teams for corrective actions.
- Perform routine maintenance on CMM equipment to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements, efficiency improvements, and advancements in measurement techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer in the defense or aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Expertise in creating and executing CMM programs, and conducting inspections.
- Familiarity with various measurement instruments and tools.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards.
