Workers Compensation Attorney
Career Consulting Partners is partnered with a large Personal Injury Law firm that has been voted as one of America's "Most Feared Plaintiff Firms". This position is located in their Orange Countyoffice. As a workers' compensation attorney, you will handle all aspects of workers' compensation claims for benefits, including medical, disability, and impairment. This includes managing all aspects of litigation, such as discovery, depositions, arbitrations, liens, settlement negotiations, and documents.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Negotiating workers' compensation cases against insurance companies and defense counsel.
Evaluating and preparing cases.
Preparing for and attending hearings and depositions.
Reporting on hearings, depositions, and appearances.
Appearing at WCAB (Workers' Compensation Appeals Board).
Preparing correspondence to clients regarding the status and updates of active claims.
Performing legal research and analyzing cases.
Developing and recommending case strategy.
Writing briefs and pleadings.
Negotiating settlements.
Handling administrative duties
QUALIFICATIONS :
1 year of Workers compensation knowledge (willing to train)
Open to experienced workers compensation attorneys with 2 - 5 years of experience
Admission to the State Bar of California
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat required
Ability to work a large caseload
Ability to manage caseload effectively
Identify and retain medical experts and / or legal experts for each respective matter, as needed
Must be comfortable guiding non-attorney team members as needed
Diligence, a strong work ethic, and sound judgment are needed
Effective time management
Excellent interpersonal, and organizational skillsTechnologically adept

Base Compensation : $90,000 - $150,000
Plus Additional Attorney Fee Structure
