Our client, a prominent private credit firm focused on strategic lending solutions, is seeking an Associate to join their team!
Compensation: $120-200k base salary DOE excellent benefits
Position Overview:
The Associate will support senior investment professionals in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing private credit investments. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a small, high-performing team and gain hands-on experience across the entire investment process, from origination to portfolio management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the sourcing and screening of potential investment opportunities.
- Conduct financial modeling, including credit analysis, cash flow forecasting, and sensitivity analysis.
- Support the due diligence process, including reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and market research.
- Conduct industry-specific research to identify new investment opportunities and risks.
- Prepare detailed investment memorandums and presentations for internal investment committees.
- Support senior team members in structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions.
- Monitor portfolio performance and track key financial and operational metrics.
- Assist in the preparation of regular reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders, including investors and senior management.
- Participate in the management and restructuring of existing investments, as needed.
- Engage in communication with clients, providing updates on portfolio performance and investment strategy.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting private credit and lending markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 1-3 years of experience working within private credit or 3 years of experience working in a LevFin group.
- Strong experience writing investment committee memoranda and articulating credit strengths/weaknesses.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, capital structure, and analyzing complex deal structures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
