Full Time Nanny / Childcare Provider

Career Match is assisting a family located in the Harrisburg suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina in finding a long-term, full-time nanny for their three children. They have an 8-year-old son, 5-year-old son, and 2- year-old daughter.

This job starts no later than April 12th, 2025.

This position is Monday - Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm, guaranteeing 40 hours a week. The family is offering $22-24 per hour for a professional nanny that has three or more years of recent in-home nanny experience with toddlers and young children.

They are looking for a trustworthy nanny who will care, invest, and create structure for their children. They would like them to continue to learn and grow by having a nanny who will engage in play-based learning. Their ideal candidate is one that has a calming and reassuring presence in the home. It is important that their nanny be receptive of their needs as a family and can include them in their children's daily activities. Their sons go to elementary school and preschool, so drop offs and pick-ups will be required.

Their perfect fit nanny is one who is active and willing to take their children to classes, story times, walks, and playgrounds.

Pay : Hourly rate will be based on verifiable education and experience. $22.00-$24.00 / per hour

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Providing care for the children including feeding, dressing, and supervising playtime
• Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities
• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the children
• Transporting the children to and from school and extracurricular activities
• Taking children to various appointments and activities, including playdates
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children
• Cleaning and washing up after children's meals
• Implementing and reinforcing daily routines
• Enforcing house rules and expectations
• Communicating with the Employer about the children's daily activities and any concerns
• Performing household chores such as children's laundry, sweeping, and doing dishes
• Tend to the general needs of the children while providing supervision to ensure the children's safety in day-to-day activities
• Engage children in age-appropriate work to encourage the children's intellectual development, motor skills, etc.
• Model appropriate social behaviors to encourage children's social and emotional development
• Monitor the children's behavior for irregularities pertaining to their health and well-being as well as their physical, emotional, and mental development
• In case of illness or injury, provide necessary medical attention; for example, transport the child to a doctor or hospital, take the child's temperature, and administer medications as directed
• Instruct the children in proper health and personal care habits, such as diet and toilet behavior; provide assistance and use as needed
• Continue teaching children to take care of their environment. Picking up play areas, putting items in correct locations, etc.
• Create a safe environment for the children by removing hazards and enforcing appropriate boundaries
• Spend time with the children outdoors; take children for walks, play in the backyard, spend time at the park, maximize time children spend outdoors.
• Meet with the Employer occasionally to reflect on and plan for the children's activities and development
