What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Superintendent position at Career Pathway LLC?
The Superintendent is in charge of planning, organizing, and overseeing electrical work and field labor on one or more projects. They manage labor productivity, costs, and ensure the team meets jobsite goals. They also provide technical and administrative guidance while following all policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage labor productivity, including developing task codes, budgeting, and tracking progress.
- Work with the Field Operations Manager and Project Manager to plan labor needs and ensure the team works towards common goals.
- Build professional relationships with contractors and communicate respectfully with their staff.
- Attend contractor project meetings, being prepared with information on schedules, issues, and other important details.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to create and track project schedules.
- Organize and plan all labor, materials, equipment, and information to meet deadlines, budgets, and production goals.
- Offer technical advice and solve problems on the jobsite.
- Supervise Foremen and Senior Electricians to coordinate their work activities.
- Participate in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Clash Detection meetings, offering support and feedback to the BIM team.
- Help create and review VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) drawings and prefab plans.
- Ensure the project follows processes, best practices, quality control, and safety standards.
- Review technical plans, blueprints, and other project documents.
- Perform daily jobsite inspections to identify any issues that could affect productivity or schedules, and document these in daily reports.
- Assess staff strengths and weaknesses, and recommend training opportunities to the Field Operations Manager.
- These duties are a general guide, and other tasks may be assigned as needed by the Field Operations Manager.
