Production Manager

Job Description:

• Handles the Sourcing, Production Coordination and P&L as it relates to doing business in China.
• Extensive travel to China to manage the sourcing operations with the Shanghai office and factories.
• Develop and present overall product assortment for each season.
• Communicate with company management to recommend business opportunities and ways to expand product lines and increase sales.
• Attend fairs, trend shows (i.e., Canton Fair) for sourcing new products and vendors.
• Lead the team on sourcing and production to achieve all business plans, objectives, and profitability targets.
• Ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved in terms of the timely delivery of quality products and services.
• Work closely with internal partners including sales, product development, design, quality, and oversea office to ensure the best outcome of each project.
• Partner with Design and stay current on fashion and technology trends.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles or a related field is preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in sourcing and/or purchasing in home, fashion, or related soft goods.
• Driven to meet deadlines, budgets, and metrics.
• Ability to focus, set goals, and be result-oriented.
• Strong merchandising skills, acute sense of customer intimacy, and product category
• Capable of creating, managing, and motivating a cohesive team
• Demonstrated ability to perform and lead teams efficiently and effectively under high pressure situations.
• Knowledge of Private Label business a plus.
• Speaking, reading, and writing fluent Mandarin is a plus.
