Manufacturing Inspector
Location: Aiken, SC
Pay: Depends on Experience (Starting at $18–$19/hour, with potential for pay increases)
Shift: Must be available for 1st and 2nd shift. 6:30am-3:00 pm, 3:00pm-11:00 pm
Overtime: Required, including Saturdays
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Inspector with hands-on quality technician experience in a manufacturing environment similar to ours. The ideal candidate will have direct, practical experience ensuring quality standards in a fast-paced production setting. This position plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards in metal stamping, assembly, and related manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of metal components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities in materials and processes
- Collaborate with production teams to uphold and improve quality standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of inspections and findings to support continuous improvement
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve manufacturing processes
- Work in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility in scheduling, including overtime and Saturdays
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Quality Technician or Manufacturing Inspector in a metal stamping or assembly environment
- Strong understanding of inspection tools, techniques, and quality control processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable and adaptable to changing production demands, including early start times (6 AM or 5 AM during OT)
