We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Construction Manager for a direct hire opportunity within the construction industry. This position offers a competitive salary range of $160k-$200k and is based onsite in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of various electrical construction projects. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget, while consistently meeting quality standards and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with a dynamic team and utilize advanced construction technologies to navigate the complexities of diverse and challenging projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Project Planning and Coordination : Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, and procurement strategies.
  • Construction Oversight : Coordinate and oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules and specifications.
  • Contractor Management : Evaluate and select contractors and subcontractors based on qualifications, experience, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Progress Monitoring : Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on project status to stakeholders.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements, prioritizing a secure working environment.
  • Documentation Management : Manage construction project documentation, contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.
  • Communication : Conduct regular meetings to facilitate communication and address challenges to meet project objectives.
  • Reporting : Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates, and significant developments or risks.
  • Safety Protocols : Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes.
  • Project Evaluation : Carry out thorough project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
  • Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to the project team to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : 3-10 years of experience managing projects, ideally within the electrical construction sector.
  • Education : Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering is required.
  • Certifications : Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous. Completion of OSHA 30-hour and CPR training is highly regarded.
  • Skills :
  • Project management expertise, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, project blueprints, and construction schematics.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
  • Risk management and budget management acumen.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Financial understanding related to project budgeting and cost control.
  • Experience in Data Centers : Previous experience working in data center environments is beneficial.
