The Analyst II/Gas Scheduling is an individual contributor responsible for the scheduling and confirmation requirements for Great Basin Gas Transmission Company’s (GBGTC) natural gas activity on company-owned and third-party pipelines. This position is responsible for validating and maintaining various software programs utilized in the daily forecasting, scheduling, tracking, and recording of natural gas on the Great Basin and upstream pipeline systems. In addition, this position is responsible for evaluating and reconciling the output of these systems to effectively facilitate the movement of gas on multiple pipelines for receipt by Great Basin and redelivery to Great Basin shippers, and documenting and communicating consumption, trend information and metrics to a variety of internal and external clients, including Great Basin shippers and their agents.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires three to five years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in degree in engineering, business, or computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily scheduling and confirmation processes on company-owned and third party pipelines
- Monitor BTU and SCADA data to ensure accurate and timely identification and correction of anomalies associated with RTUs in conjunction with Technical Services Staff
- Coordinate the reconciliation of exceptions between third party pipelines, shipper nominations and confirmations and accounting
- Monitor and make recommendations for the Great Basin monthly fuel factor
- Administer Great Basin’s tariff provision for annual fuel reporting
- Develop detailed utility load forecasts and maintain the database for this information, including the creation, validation and maintenance of forecasting methodologies
- Develop and maintain the logic for programming and/or moderately complex spreadsheets and databases for the Daily Imbalance tracking program which provides daily operating data to management and customers
- Review Company tariff provisions relative to the Gas Scheduling function and assist regulatory staff in revising such provisions, as required
- Evaluate existing systems and procedures and recommend enhancements to continuously improve department and system efficiencies
- Perform system testing following programming changes to validate system functionality
- Document and maintain department procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements (FERC, Sarbanes-Oxley, PHMSA) to ensure compliance
- Prepare responses for routine data requests from regulatory agencies
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

SALARY DETAILS
Las Vegas: $72,900 - $105,700
