Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance operations at our apartment community, ensuring that all systems and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, extensive hands-on experience, and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and up to industry standards while maintaining safety protocols.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing, and appliance issues.
- Oversee and participate in groundskeeping, pool maintenance (if applicable), and unit turnovers.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and tools needed for maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance staff as needed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in property maintenance
- EPA Universal Certification (Required).
- CPO Certification (if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance (Required).
- Must have own tools to perform daily maintenance tasks.
- Strong knowledge and ability to safely use and maintain the following tools and equipment:
- Hand Tools: Wrenches, hammers, saws, snips, posthole diggers, etc.
- Power Tools: Drills, grinders, saws, sanders, etc.
- User-Moved Aids: Wheelbarrows, dollies, hoists, jacks, ladders, etc.
- Mechanical Equipment: Motors, pumps, compressors, electric augers, etc.
- Measuring Devices: Calipers, voltmeters, amp meters, pH tests, gauges, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
