At Career Team, the HR Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for overseeing various aspects of human resources operations. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. The HR Manager will be responsible for providing guidance and support to employees and managers across the organization.

Your Impact on Career TEAM's Success:

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to the HR generalist, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Oversees the talent acquisition process with the Recruiter and HR Generalist, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning initiatives that provide internal employees with key HR information to efficiently do their jobs.
  • With the assistance of the VP of HR, oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manage employee relations and address any workplace concerns, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
  • Develop and monitor performance management and appraisal systems to support employee growth and development.
  • Ensure the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding HR matters, such as policies, procedures, and legal compliance.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset.
  • Other duties and projects as needed.

The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources management, with a proven track record of success
  • 3 years of experience in employee relations and conflict resolution
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Proficiency in HR management systems and software, such as ADP, or similar platforms

Salary: $75,000 - $87,000 annually

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
