SUMMARY:
The Payroll Supervisor must exhibit strong leadership and teaching capabilities. The leader will possess critical thinking capabilities that enable turning manual processes into automated capabilities. The individual must possess the ability to work cross functionally and with other business units. The individual must have technical expertise in all facets of payroll administration.The individual should have the ability to accurately process complex payroll and HRIS transactions for hourly and salaried employees.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for entry for all new hires and termination for temporary and permanent employees.
- Process all garnishment and child support.
- Manage newly eligible employee benefits monthly including HAS process to benefit deductions.
- Product an accurate time file and upload into ADP.
- Enter all direct deposits into ADP.
- Responsible for all PTO request entry into the time & attendance system
- Monitor PTO balances in ADP to ensure accuracy.
- Process all commissions for the sales personnel.
- Coordinate year-end activities in order to produce an accurate W-2. This includes making sure the calendar year changes are correctly done ( ie, United Way, benefits, GTL taxable earns, W2 benefit cost reporting and third party sick pay).
- Work with employees on payroll issues.
- Work closely with ADP on issues regarding payroll, reporting and portal administration.
- Manage 401(k) data, funding and process changes.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s, Associates Degree OR equivalent experience.The candidate will have 3-5 years of payroll experience with a company ranging from 500 employees. Must be system savvy with a high degree of proficiency in business application software. Prior ADP payroll experience a large plus. Solid understanding of time tracking software capabilities ( ie, Time & Attendance Software ). Practical knowledge of 401k & ESOP plans.
Must exhibit strong leadership capabilities with those they lead. Candidate shall have the ability to analyze, evaluate and implement best payroll practices.Will develop, track & instill audit capabilities into the payroll culture. Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
