The payroll supervisor must exhibit strong leadership & teaching capabilities. The leader will possess critical thinking capabilities that enable turning manual processes to automated capabilities. The individual must possess the ability to work cross functionally and with other business units. Individual must have technical expertise in all facets of payroll administration. Must have the ability to accurately process complex payroll & HRIS transactions for hourly and salaried employees.

- Key leader that takes an active role in the ADP relationship. This person will be responsible for that relationship (payroll administration)
- Must exhibit strong leadership capabilities with those they lead
- Able to take a strategy and create payroll structure that delivers the best customer experience
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and implement best payroll practices
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, individually and in group settings
- Develop, track & instill audit capabilities into the payroll culture
- Educate and train leaders so that they can utilize the technology developed
- Create duplicity of capability so that standard time off can be achieved
- Must develop excellent relationships with other business partners
- Point of entry for all new hires and terminations for temporary and permanent employees
- Process all garnishment and child supports
- Manage newly eligible employee benefits monthly including HSA process to benefit deductions
- Produce an accurate time file and upload into ADP
- Enter all direct deposits into ADP
- Monitor PTO balances in ADP to ensure accuracy
- Work closely with all Plant Managers and plant level assistants
- Process all commissions for the sales team
- Coordinate year-end activities in order to produce an accurate W-2. This includes making sure the calendar year changes are correctly done i.e., United Way, benefits, GTL taxable earns, W2 benefit cost reporting and third party sick pay
- Correct any employee payroll issues
- Work closely with ADP on issues regarding payroll, reporting or portal administration
- Manage 401(k) data, funding and process changes
- Produce reports from ADP for leadership
- Follow through on all unemployment notices with IN Workforce Development
- Monthly coordination of cell phone reimbursements
- Tracking benefit payments during leave of absence
- Scan and file ADP records for employees making documents easily retrievable
- Respond to all Verification of Employments (VOE)
- Produce and update monthly hours report for Environmental Manager
- Bachelor’s, Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
- Three – Five years of payroll experience with a company ranging from 500 employees
- High proficiency with computer software and hardware skills
- Prior ADP payroll knowledge a plus
- Familiar with time tracking software capabilities i.e., Time and Attendance Software
- Practical knowledge of 401(k) & ESOP plans
- Able to prioritize work load with very high accuracy rate
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize on a daily basis
- Proactive and assertive in getting projects completed in a timely manner
- Dependable and willing to grow with the organization
- Strong desire to work in a team environment
