Job Summary :

The Chief Information Officer will be responsible for developing and executing UFP’s information technology strategy, ensuring that it aligns with our overarching business objectives. This role requires a visionary leader who can enhance operational efficiency and customer experience while implementing technological innovations that support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strong business acumen and exceptional leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement an IT strategy that enhances organizational performance and supports business goals.
  • Assess our current state of IT, identify key areas of risk, and provide key recommendations.
  • Provide innovative technology solutions to address complex business challenges and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend implementation to gain a competitive edge in the industry.
  • Oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and cybersecurity protocols to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to optimize IT operations and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to identify technology needs and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure IT investments align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to secure favorable terms and maximize service value.
  • Optimize the organization’s IT investments and ensure maximum return on technology expenditures.
  • Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational data and systems.
  • Continuously assess and mitigate IT-related risks, implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Stay informed of evolving cyber threats and compliance requirements to advise the organization proactively.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Education : Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Experience :
  • A proven track record of 10 years in IT leadership roles, including positions such as CIO, VP of IT, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, digital transformation, and management of IT operations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale IT projects and initiatives that drive organizational growth.
  • Skills :
  • Strong business acumen with the capability to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies.
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, data management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly under pressure.
